The Non-Uniformity Control Strategy of a Marine High-Speed Diesel Engine Based on Each Cylinder’s Exhaust Temperature

To improve the non-uniformity of a multi-cylinder marine diesel engine caused by manufacturing assembly errors and performance degradation fuel injection system, with instantaneous speed applied as control target, feedback variable each cylinder’s exhaust temperature was used to obtain information quantity cylinder variable; inhomogeneity accomplished modifying pulse spectrum. The model AVL Cruise M established validated bench test data. strategy based on developed in SIMULINK, effect compared closed-loop pressure software in-loop simulation. results showed that could significantly uniformity cylinder; although improvement not great pressure, cost reduced, practicality reliability were better. With speed, CV (Coefficient Variation) IMEP (indicated effective pressure) close pressure; maximum occurred at 25% load when it 0.199%. This co-simulation provided theoretical basis for subsequent hardware-in-the-loop simulation actual tests.
